Meet the team

The ECR publications are mainly based on the views of Eddy Markus, chief analyst and founder of Interest & Currency Consultants (ICC) based in The Netherlands and suppliers of our international consultancy services

Edward Markus, Executive director/Chief analyst

After obtaining an economics degree Edward immediately became involved in managing a sizeable family fortune. Extensive training in currencies and interest rates enabled him to assume full responsibility for all interest and currency positions relating to these assets. In the early 1980s he switched from asset management to consultancy and established Interest & Currency Consultants (ICC) as an independent consultancy agency for businesses. Under his management it has grown into an agency specialising in treasury management, corporate & structured finance, cash management, bank relationship management and market outlook. Edward has closely followed the financial markets for over 30 years and is appreciated for his thought-provoking, often anti-consensus view on where financial markets are heading.
